Hunter to leave County after 5 years

Berks County FC are disappointed to be losing Robert Hunter as first team manager, Robert moves to Toronto with work in early March. Rob has worked with Berks County FC for over 5 years. Nathan Baker, Roger Greer and Liam Bourke are all expected to continue in their roles going forward.

Chairman Richard Lloyd said “Rob should be immensely proud of all the work he has undertaken at the football club, driven volunteers like Rob are what has put our relatively new football club on the map. He goes with our best wishes in the hope that the move works out but that one day he’ll be back”

Robert’s achievements with the football club are as follows:
• Steering the club’s u21s to a second place finish in the EBFA’s First Division
• Progressing multiple youth players into first team football
• Club committee member
• Charity Trustee
• Managing the Reserves to the 3rd Division title (first senior league title)
• Managing the First Team to the Reading Senior Cup Quarter Final (3rd February 2018)

The club is planning to make an announcement on Rob’s successor in the coming days, expect big news
